Charging, starting & spark — the usual OBS trouble spots. OEM, GM & aftermarket part numbers for 1988–1998 Chevy/GMC C/K 1500 & 2500. Always verify fitment for your exact year, engine & drivetrain before ordering.
⚠️ Verify before buying. Fitment varies by year, engine (4.3/5.0/5.7/7.4), and 2WD/4WD. These are reference numbers — confirm against your VIN/build before ordering.
📝 Vortec caps crack and corrode at the terminals — misfires and no-starts in damp weather. Stick with Delco; economy caps are a common comeback. The 4.3L V6 uses cap D328A instead.
📝 88-95 use the CS130; 96-98 use the CS130D — not interchangeable. Multiple amperages were offered, so match output rating and plug against your truck.
📝 Wipers that stop mid-sweep or work only sometimes are almost always this board (GM even recalled some years). Swaps onto the motor in the truck with basic hand tools.
📝 Any group 75/78 side-terminal fits the tray. Buy the most cold-cranking amps you can — and clean those side terminals, corrosion there causes half the 'bad starter' complaints.
